Watertown Information
Watertown Challenge
Event Description
The Watertown Challenge will not be held in 2006. Race director Brian Weber is focusing on the development of Mid-America Xtreme's not-for-profit MAX Camps providing outdoor programs to youth groups from many backgrounds. Brian and the rest of the MAX organization want to thank you for attending this event in previous years and encourage you to attend one of our other great events in 2006.

This is a timed event (6 hour limit). The challenge will include trail running, a watercraft section, biking, along with numerous skill tests. The winner will be declared by the team that collects the most checkpoint punches in their passport within the 6- hour period. Be prepared to navigate. County maps will be used, along with written instruction. Teams will have 6 hours to get to as many of the control points as possible. Teams will need to plan their route wisely to be sure their team returns to the final transition area before the cut-off time. If you can read a road map you can navigate this course.

Example: If the challenge starts at 5:30am the challenge would conclude at 12:30pm. Teams not back at the transition/finish area by 12:30pm would be considered unranked having not met the main objective of returning within the 6-hour limit.

Teams must follow rules of the road and respect private property.
