The eighth annual Mid-America Xtreme Adventure Race was held Saturday the 29th of July, 2006.
The race is designed for competitors of all experience levels, it will challenge competitors both mentally and physically in an event which as proven to be as epic as one day at an expedition length race.
This years event will be held in the area of Starved Rock, Illinois. This area, characterized by sandstone canyons carved out over many years by small streams flowing into the Illinois State Waterway and cascading waterfalls, will be the setting for the next MAX Adventure Race! Racers will explore the canyons and waterways on foot, bike, and boat in search of the finish line. Is your team ready for the challenge?
