Running/Trekking
Short runs of about a mile or less will be required multiple times during the event. Racers will be directed
by written and verbal instruction. Map reading skills required.
Biking
Competitors must provide their own bikes. Any bikes with the exception of tandems can be used. The biking
route will be in city streets.
Navigation
Each team will receive a map for the
entire course. Teams must be capable of reading a map. GPS units are
NOT allowed.
Paddling
Paddling in the Milwaukee River. There will be some Class 1
water. Kayaks will be provided by Laacke & Joys. Competitors must
provide their own PFD (Personal Flotation Device) with a type III
rating.
Climbing/Ropes
The race includes preset fixed ropes and will include
rappelling off a four-story building. Experienced climbing personnel
will be stationed at the rope section. The climbing personnel are
there to offer assistance if needed. To avoid a bottle neck at the
ropes section please have a complete understanding of your equipment
to rappel. There will be clinics for those not familiar with
climbing.
Mystery Events
Each team will take in multiple new mystery events this year.
Competitors must be prepared for anything.
